1. Who we are
HairProof is operated by OMNIAMUS S.R.L., Ploiești, Romania ("HairProof", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact us at hairproof@aedifylab.com.
2. No account required
HairProof does not ask for your name, email address or phone number and does not require an account. Your data is linked to a random, anonymous device identifier generated on your device the first time you use the app. This identifier does not reveal who you are, and we make no attempt to link it to your identity.
3. Information we process
- Scalp and hair photos you choose to capture during a scan.
- AI-generated analysis of those photos: per-zone density estimates, short observations and a plain-language summary.
- Your scan history (scores and dates), linked to the anonymous device identifier.
- Subscription status, processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own terms; we do not receive your payment details.
4. Information that stays on your device
This information is stored locally in the app and is not sent to our servers.
- Your onboarding quiz answers (treatment, goals).
- Daily routine check-ins and streaks.
- Reminder settings and scheduled notifications.
- The previous week's photos used as an alignment guide in the camera.
5. How we use information
We do not use advertising SDKs, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use your photos for marketing.
- Analyze your photos to estimate hair density per zone and show week-over-week changes.
- Store your scan history so you can track progress over time.
- Operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
6. AI processing
When you take a scan, your photos are sent to our contracted AI provider (Google's Gemini API) to generate the density analysis, then stored in our encrypted object storage. The analysis is an automated wellness estimate, not a medical assessment, and can be inaccurate.
7. Not medical advice
HairProof is a wellness tracking tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, and its scores are informational estimates only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about hair loss or any treatment decisions.
8. Service providers
We share data only as necessary with providers that help us run HairProof: Railway (application hosting), Neon (database), Cloudflare (photo storage), and Google (AI analysis). Google Play and Apple process app purchases under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
9. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we use safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and applicable adequacy decisions.
10. Retention
Your photos and scan history are retained until you delete them. Use "Delete my data" in the app's Settings to erase everything associated with your device identifier from our servers immediately. Encrypted backups may persist for a limited period before automatic expiry.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No service can guarantee absolute security.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability or restriction of your personal data. The fastest path is the in-app "Delete my data" control. You can also email hairproof@aedifylab.com — include the device identifier shown in the app's Settings screen so we can locate your data, since we hold no other identifier for you. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
13. Children
HairProof is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data.
14. Changes and contact
